Everyone be aware, the hotel is under renovation, and the prices are the same though despite the noises. Don't go there to take a nap during the afternoon as the jackhammer and other noises will not help to sleep, and no one from the staff will let you know in advance. The bathrooms and others would need renovation, but the rate could be lower during the works, and letting the guests know about the trouble would be the least and very important. Very loud (bad soundproof in the room, no double glazed windows: lots of traffic noise even if there are no traffic) Nonstandard electricity. Cold reception Answer from Hotel Ascot Opera We've had regular clients for many years now, located in the center of Paris, in a small and quiet street, we can't guaranty a noise free night. About the electricity, it has just been renovated, and concerning the staff, it's still the same for a while now and our regular clients like them. Nevertheless, if you'd ask us for anything, we would have upgraded you in a better category and change your room maybe in upper floors that are even quieter. Nicely located and very quiet hotel. Disappointed with the old design in the room (old, yellow and dirty wallpapers, undone curtains, bathroom tiles from the 70s, old tub...) and the hotel in general. Disappointed breakfast. The initial booking 'family room) wasn't respected. We got 2 double rooms instead and no explanations. No discount.

Very well located hotel (300 yards from the Avenue de l'Opera and the subway) and still no noise trouble. The shower from the other rooms are a bit loud but it still is OK (after 10 PM, no one took showers).
The staff is nice. The room is very clean.
Breakfast in bed was nice (2 croissants + orange juice + hot beverage + 2 jams + 4 small breads).
The hotel kept our luggage for free all day for our last day.
I truly recommend this hotel. Worth 3 stars herve d. (France-Pays de la Loire)
