Rooms

Hotel des Mines immerses you in a decor inspired by early 20th century. The 50 rooms of Hotel des Mines are all non smoking and air conditioned, and about 30 of them face the inner courtyard. Whether you choose a double, twin, triple or quadruple room (the perfect room for families), each room has :
  • Bathroom with shower or bathtub, with toilet and hairdryer
  • TV with satellite channels
  • Direct dial telephone
  • WiFi internet access
  • Insulated glazing

Continental breakfast (supplemented by a cold buffet) is served in the lounge from 7am to 10am. You can also request to have breakfast served to your room, at no extra charge, from 8am to 10am.

The hotel's bar, open 24/7, is followed by a sun lounge which lets enter the light from the private inner courtyard. A lovely place to relax for a while, enjoying a drink.

++ Good reception, quality bathroom, comfort, breakfast -- loud street despite the double glazed windows, RER train sound, door of the bathroom squeaking, noisy doors of the elevator, location a bit off centered to walk to the exhibitions and shows

Hotel overpriced for what it is : the rooms are small, as well as the bathrooms. The breakfast is extra (9 euros), just like using the computer in the lobby (wifi being free). Bad value for money in that way. But the hotel is clean and has a good location (3 mnutes from the RER train and the metro)

5 night-stay for a couple. Very tiny room but decent size bathroom. Quiet room giving onto the courtyard. Warm helpful reception available to answer your many questions and requests. 9 euro breakfast, a bit overpriced compared to the choice available. Very good location - direct bus to the Rue de Rivoli - Louvre.

Very well located hotel, with comfortable and clean rooms, for a reasonable price. They had the AC which is very pleasant in the summer.

Strong smell of stuffy air when we arrived so we had to leave the windows open all the time we were there. Dirty carpet. The receptionist had to fix the key door knob system with a screwdriver upon our arrival.

Room a bit too small for 2 : unpleasant when you stay a few days. For tourists (which we were) it lacks practical things, like a subway close by, the RER is a bit too harsh to use; we didn't pay attention to that when we booked. But the neighborhood is very pleasant, nice and relaxing with nice surprises.
