Hotel Aris Nord

This is the worse stay of my life : bad smell in the room, very humid in the bathroom

Location close to the gare du Nord but in a not really nice neighborhood. To tell the truth, I didn't feel safe when arriving there and mostly when I got back from my dinner. The reception of the hotel wasn't bad except that I paid for the room before I even saw it. My room was on the top floor, seemed clean in spite of the bed cover full of cigarette holes. Comfortable bed. Very small TV and far from the bed. As far as the bathroom, overall clean but the airing made a very unpleasant even disturbing noise. I had to go and talk to the guests in the room next door to ask them to keep it quiet around 11 PM. A hotel is a place to rest and clients should respect the silence for other guests. As far as soundproof, the hotel isn't the best. Concerning the breakfast, I am very disappointed: small tables and folding chairs you don't feel like leaning on as you are too afraid to have everything falling on the floor. Service on a tray with a cup of coffee (terrible) and a pastry (frozen) barely heated. Basically, nothing great... If I should be coming back to this hotel, I would ask for more information.
