As of the end of July 2010, 42 hotels in Paris are now rated according to the new hotels’ standards, eighteen 5 star hotels, nine 4 star hotels, thirteen 3 star hotels and two 2 star hotels.
Amongst those, these last weeks, 4 new hotels gained their 5th star :
- the hotel de Crillon : famous hotel on the Place de la Concorde
- the hotel Lancaster : hotel located rue de Berri, a couple blocks from the Champs Elysees and which restaurant operated by the groupe Troisgros has 1 star on the Michelin guide.
- the hotel Bristol : the hotel of the rue de Faubourg Saint Honore, that had already been distinguished as it recieved its 3rd star on the Michelin Guide for its restaurant, can proudly show 5 stars on its facade from now on.
- the hotel Scribe : hotel from the group Accor (Scribe managed by Sofitel) is the 5th Sofitel in France to get its 5th star.
There are now eighteen 5 star hotels in Paris.
Nine hotels now gave 4 star thanks to the new standards, amongst which the Hotel Astra opera, the Hotel Malte Opera and the Hotel Elysees Mermoz (the 2 latest go from 3 to 4 stars)
In addition, Paris now has thirteen 3 star hotels with the new standards. Amongst them, the hotel Best Western Montmartre, the Etoile Park Hotel, the Hotel Astoria Opera, the Hotel Stella or even the Hotel Chatillon Montparnasse that went from 2 to 3 stars.
Finally, only two 2 star hotels got this rank according to the new standards.
